About Us
About Diya Designer Lounge

Diya Designer Lounge is a Surrey, British Columbia–based online boutique curating contemporary Pakistani designers for Canada. We bring together thoughtful design, fine fabrics, and hand-worked details for customers who value craft and the people behind it.
We partner with small labels and artisan workshops across Pakistan—many of them women-led or providing dignified employment to women in their communities. We look for responsible practices, fair pay, safe workplaces, and a culture of learning and skill-building. When you shop with us, you help sustain these traditions and support the people who keep them alive.
What We Curate
We offer a carefully selected range of:
-
Ready-to-wear, occasionwear, and seasonal capsules from emerging and independent Pakistani designers
-
Garments featuring traditional techniques such as hand embroidery, block printing, gota, zardozi, and kamdani, reimagined in modern silhouettes
-
Limited-run collections that prioritise quality, craftsmanship, and longevity over mass production

How We Work
Our approach is grounded in transparency, quality, and service:
Direct sourcing
We build close relationships with workshops and designers who rarely have exposure in the Canadian market.
Quality and fit
Every piece is reviewed for stitching, finish, and sizing before it goes live on our site.
Clarity
Fibre content, origin, and care information are clearly shown on each product page and on garment labels.
Service
We ship Canada-wide from Surrey, British Columbia, with occasional local pop-ups, trunk shows, and try-on events.
Why the Name “Diya”
A diya is a small oil lamp found across South Asia. It symbolises light, craft, and celebration. That spirit guides everything we do—from the designers we support to the moments our customers dress for.
Our Promise
We are committed to honest product information, respectful storytelling, and fair pricing for the work involved. If we ever fall short, we will address it openly and make it right.
Thank you for supporting South Asian craftsmanship in Canada.
